camt.053 — End-of-Day Account Statement

camt.053 (BankToCustomerStatement) is the official end-of-day account statement the bank sends to the customer. It contains the final balance and all activity for that day; it is the basis of accounting reconciliation.

What does it contain?

• Opening and closing balances
• All transactions (amount, counterparty, reference)
• Transaction details and reference codes

Usage

Organisations use camt.053 for automated accounting matching (reconciliation). For an intraday view, camt.052 is preferred; for individual debit/credit notification, camt.054.

The statement structure can show minor differences from bank to bank; use your bank’s guide for field mapping.
