How does this tool calculate?
Heuristic — rule-based estimate- Method/formula used
- An estimated arrival window based on the transfer type (SCT / SCT Instant) plus the cut-off, weekend and public-holiday rules.
- Data used
- SEPA SCT / SCT Instant scheme rules (standard: by the next banking day at the latest; instant: seconds)
- Automatic assumptions
- Typical cut-off and banking-day assumptions
- ~10 seconds for an instant transaction
- Unsupported cases
- Bank-specific cut-off times (vary)
- Compliance/AML-related delays
SCT and SCT Instant times
- SCT (SEPA Credit Transfer): If submitted on a business day before the cut-off time, it is processed the same day; the amount reaches the recipient bank by the next banking day at the latest.
- SCT Instant: Works 24/7; the amount is expected to be credited within seconds, including weekends and holidays (depending on bank support and limits).
Results are estimates; public holidays and internal bank rules may change the time.
