How to use this tool
- Select countries: choose the countries you want to compare from the three drop-downs (2 or 3 countries).
- Compare: the table shows the selected countries' SEPA/EU/EEA status, euro usage type, IBAN length and bank code system side by side.
Euro usage comes in three kinds: euro area membership, a monetary agreement (Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican City) and unilateral use (Montenegro). A country being in SEPA does not require it to be an EU member or a euro user.
